Brianna,

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.

The article was written when ECOT first started. It is a collection of articles I've posted here by a retired h.s. advocate who no longer has a website to post them on. Thanks to advocates like the author, Sue Duncan, many of the public e-schools do now accurately state they are public school and no longer try to promote themselves as homeschooling.

I\'m not sure when this article was written but I\'m assuming it\'s the April 22, 2008 date listed at the end. If so, then you\'re quotations and links are seriously outdated and incorrect. Coletta Musick was only with ECOT for one year before being removed from her position in 2001. To quote her is not a current and accurate reflection of ECOT\'s program. As for ECOT\'s website, it clearly states on the homepage, multiple times in fact, that ECOT is an online public school. http://www.ecotohio.org/home.php
It then goes on to state who they are accredited by and who the sponsor is. I\'m not sure how much clearer it can be made.
